We Breathe Again: A Documentary Film

Though I’m sure the title of this doc may change a few more times before it gets released, I am very proud to announce that our We Breathe Again Kickstarter campaign has officially launched.

I have been working on this documentary in some form since 2008, so it is very exciting to have something tangible to share with you. The film takes an intimate look at Alaska Native communities as they struggle with the impact of suicide, and endeavor on a path of individual and community healing.

In helping craft the preview for the film, I have had the immense pleasure of working with the amazing Vivien Hillgrove and of course the incredibly talented director, Marsh Chamberlain. Marsh and I have formed what we hope to be “American Zoetrope 2.0″ with our film company, Crawl Walk Run. We are looking to create a collective for filmmakers and other artists with similar creative goals.

I hope you’ll take a moment to watch the preview to Crawl Walk Run’s first feature-length film venture, below:

If you find this project worthwhile, please donate at our kickstarter page. All funds will go towards completion of the film.
